How to Place your Roulette Bets

Roulette has been one of the exciting games played in casinos. Its origins date back to 17th century where players try their luck on chances of winning. Interestingly, players await the roulette wheel with utmost eagerness and excitement. Roulette bets come from players on their chosen numbers in which they are filled with fun, learning experience, and much luck.

The game of chance comprise of a ball that would rest on a wheel with 36 numbers, zero, and double-zero. These numbers are commonly found on an American Roulette. Players only place their bets on these numbers and wait where the ball stops. In one spin, players place the wager in a single number up to 18 numbers during bets.

What is important in playing roulette games is placing the bet. Here are some of the common roulette bets:

Straight Up - this bet plays by positioning the wager on a single number, which includes zero and double-zero. The roulette then stops to only one number. Yes, only one number, which pays 35 to 1.

Street Bet - also known as the game of three in roulette. Three numbers cover the street bet beginning with a chip placed on the outer right boundary of the roulette. If this chip hits any of the corresponding three numbers, the bet pays 11 to 1.

Line Bet - again, there is the chip placed on the outer right boundary of the roulette table. For this bet, six numbers are in two rows comprised of three numbers. For instance, 4, 5, 6, plus 7, 8, 9. The line that divides the rows intersects the chip. Hitting any of the six numbers will place a bet of 5 to 1.

Split Bet - this bet pays 17 to 1. There is a wager at two adjacent numbers on the roulette table. This wager is then placed on the dividing line of the two numbers.

Column Bet - this bet pays 2 to 1. Column bet consists of three boxes found on the short side of the roulette table. Each box has a 2 to 1 mark. Once the player places the chip on any of the three boxes, all twelve numbers are marked excluding 0 to 00. If the ball stops at any of the boxes, the bet is paid.

Corner Bet - consists of four numbers, this roulette bet has the chip placed on the cross that intersects the four numbers. Hitting any of the four numbers pay 8 to 1.

Alternating Bets - a roulette bet that pays 1 to 1, which places the bet on one of the boxes on the left, long side of the table covering half of the roulette numbers. This bet excludes 0 and 00.
